Typical organizations	Japan Karate-Do Federation,　Goju-Ryu schools,　Wado-Ryu schools,　Shotokan-Ryu schools,　Shito-Ryu schools,　etc….
The outline of this rule	It is permitted that the “Non-contact” attack by the empty hand and bare feet to the face, head, breast, belly, and the back of body. With player's weight, a game may be played by dividing into each class of the light-weight, the middle-weight, heavy-weight, and the open-weight division.
Game time	2 minutes (fundamentally)
Judgment method	If player's attack (“Tsuki” or “Uchi” or “Ate” or “Keri”) hit a another player's　body correctly, it has been “Ippon”. And the player who got “Ippon” three times at first, win a game. If both players could not got “Ippon” three times, a winner is decided by judgement.

　The rule which is used by game of the Traditional Karate,　is a “Non-contact” rule.　The all of player's attack must not be touched another player's body in this rule.
　The “Non-contact” rule is a official rule of Japan Karate-Do Federation which is the integrated organization of Traditional Karate.　It is mainly used in the tournament of the four major schools　(Goju-Ryu,　Shotokan-Ryu,　Shito-Ryu,　Wado-Ryu).　As the National Athletic Meet adopt this rule,　the “Non-contact” rule has been most established in social cognition as gymnastics.
　The “Non-contact” rule succeed to remove the concept of “damage” epoch-makingly as a sport combative.　Therefore all of the people can begin Karate regardless of age or sex.
Although the same rule is introduced,　there are some differences about a protector for game by each school.　For example,　using a fist supporter,　using a face protector,　and empty hand only without all of protector,　etc.
　A feature of the “Non-contact” rule is not damage.　The speed of footstep work and the attack is needed very much in this rule. And the accuracy of the fundamental technique is required too. The rough attack does not get a point for a game if it is very speedy.

　As all of the attack must not be touched to a body in the “Non-contact” rule,　it is possible to use the dangerous technique　(elbow,　chop,　throwing to submission,　etc).　These techniques are forbidden by the difficulty of judgement and danger in other rules.

In a word,　it is said generally that the “Non-contact” rule preserve the tradition of the traditional technical system of Karate.
